Open Orange Bowl

 OPEN TO ALL AGES 

This year, Coconut Grove Sailing Club's annual Open Orange Bowl Regatta will also serve as a Pre-Junior Worlds Test Event.

The regatta will be open to sailors of all ages from all countries.  Organize early as the Orange Bowl Youth Regatta is one of the biggest youth regattas in the world and families organize housing in October.

 

Keep in mind that Junior Worlds charters are available January 1st, unless special arrangements have been made.

Championship

Coconut Grove Sailing Club and the Miami Snipe Fleet are hosting the biannual Jr. Worlds.  Five days of racing on Biscayne Bay

 

Each country has ten spots.  Skippers and crews di not need to be from the same country, but the skipper must qualify in or be given a spot by their country.

Good charter boats available.  The regatta organizers will make every effort to find housing for competitors will local families.

DON'T MISS CARMEN'S LASAGNA DINNER!

A relaxed, well attended regatta that began in Havana more than seventy years ago.  Enjoy great racing, good friends, and sing the famous Bomb La Va. at Coconut Grove Sailing Club.

Don't miss the regatta dinner at Old Man Diaz's home, where you get to see the original Comodoro Rasco in black and white footage.

THE LEGENDARY INTERNATIONAL EVENT

For more than 50 years, the Don Q has been one of the biggest international events in the Snipe Class calendar.  Come experience the beautiful waters of Miami's Biscayne Bay, sip Don Q rum Daquiris and Mojitos when you come ashore after racing and enjoy the famous Cuban dinner.

OCEAN REGATTA

This annual event, hosted by the Lauderdale Yacht Club, is some of the best sailing you'll do all year. 

 

Enjoy racing on the ocean in front of the famous Lauderdale beaches and enjoy the hospitality of the beautiful Lauderdale Yacht Club.  Peter and Connie Commette put on a great regatta year after year.

Teams wishing to participate in the 2024 Worlds & Junior Worlds must qualify in 2023.

Junior Worlds is limited to 10 teams per country.  The USA gets an extra spot as the host.

The USA has one spot for the Pan American Games - team selection in May

South Americans, Europeans, and Women's Worlds are open events.

Teams participating in the 2025 WHO will qualify in 2024.
