BIGGEST U31 SNIPE EVENT IN THE US
The MSI was first organized in 2012. In 2026, thirty - seven teams with sailors from eight countries participated.
The MSI welcomes sailors under the age of 31.
Due to the first day of the event falling on New Years Day this year, no clinic ill be run and therefore, the event is only open to sailors with previous Snipe experience.
Practice races begin at 2:30 on Friday, January 1st.
Races will held on Saturday and Sunday. Coaching is provided to all novice teams during the regatta, during and between races (Snipe specific coaching only, not tactics).
Awards are given to the top 5 overall, Top 2 women's teams, Top 2 teams U18.

CHARTERS
Charters are limited.
Charter boats will be officially granted only after team has completed the REQUEST FOR INVITE form.
After a team has been accepted to the event and granted a charter, they can register and pay for their boat. You do not have a charter until you pay the charter fee. Charter fees are nonrefundable.

The charter fee is $100 until December 1st. After December 1st, the fee is $150. The charter fee is nonrefunable and must be paid at the time of registration..

No charter requests will be accepted after December 13th.

All sailors organizing their own charter boats must purchase charter insurance from the Snipe USA Class website for $40. The charter fee for boats offered by the event organizers includes the insurance.

A boat offered by Augie Diaz is considered a charter boat from the event organizers and must be confirmed through the Request for Invitation. A boat from Augie is not a "private charter."

Charters are available Friday at noon, January 1st.

Sailors wishing to train before Friday must make special pick-up arrangements in advance with the organizers. There many be an additional $20 per day storage fee for the boat at the US Sailing Center.
